Principles of Planning and Implementing Recovery (AWR-156) is the sixth and final course of the WIFSS Agroterrorism Preparedness Curriculum for Frontline Responders and is a preparedness-level course. The purpose of this course is to provide the fundamental framework for orchestrating the recovery from an incident of agroterrorism.
COURSE DETAILS
This is the sixth course in a curriculum of six developed by WIFSS. This
course consists of 6 contact hours, beginning at 9am and ending at approximately
3pm. The maximum number of participants is 40. All registrants
must be a U.S. citizen. Photo identification is required upon
registration. There is no registration fee for this class.
Audience: This course is designed to cover the four critical factors for success in a community recovery effort and be able to apply them in a hypothetical crisis. This course is intended for emergency responders, supervisors and managers; law enforcement officers, fire/rescue, EMS & OES; federal, state and local public health agencies; hospital clinicians, administrators, health care providers; environmental health and public information officers; agriculture industries, including cultivation, processing, distribution, storage, transportation and veterinarians; and, elected or appointed public officials and extension advisors.
Scope: At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to identify the components of a recovery plan targeted at minimizing the economic impact to the community and its citizens; and identify community resources and assets available for building partnerships and teams.
Registration Information: This course will be offered at no charge to attendees. You may register online at http://wifss.ucdavis.edu on or before April 1st, 2008. Seating is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
