A message from Heath Stone, KAMFES president-elect

Hello, my name is Heath Stone and I am currently serving as the President-Elect for the Kentucky Association of Milk, Food, and Environmental Sanitarians. We are well under way in 2008 and the process of planning for the 2009 annual conference has begun.

As President-Elect I am charged with the responsibility of being the chairperson for the conference program committee. The goal of the program committee is to serve the organization by developing an agenda for the conference that is timely and reflects the broad interests of KAMFES. As a committee we welcome the input of the members of the organization to help us achieve our goal.

As we learned at our last conference the field of Environmental Health has become an invisible profession to the point the public is generally unaware of what we do and how it impacts them in a positive way. Without promoting ourselves let’s try to find ways to promote our profession so that our communities will learn to value safe and clean environments.

To all who have an interest in KAMFES we invite you to join us in our effort to improve environmental health conditions across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

  Sincerely,
Heath Stone
