A word from KAMFES President Heath Stone...
In 1963 a group of public health environmentalists formed a state organization
to protect and promote the well-being of citizens throughout the Commonwealth
of Kentucky. Today KAMFES is continuing to pursue the improvement of
environmental health policies and practices relating to the welfare
of the public around us. I believe the current of group of officers,
directors, and committee members are truly interested in making improvements
to the organization so that when their term expires the organization
will be better than it was when they began. As we depart a need is
created for new faces with fresh ideas to step up and keep things headed
in the right direction. If you haven’t been actively involved in KAMFES
consider this your call to action! Don’t be content to stay on the
sidelines, instead put yourself in the mix with others unafraid to
tackle the problems facing us today and in the near future. A few short
years ago I too was standing on the sideline wondering how I could
get involved when I was asked to run for a director position. And now
as my term as President is nearing the end I look back with satisfaction
knowing I had a small part in the continuance of this outstanding organization.
Now it is your turn, will you accept the challenge or fade into the
crowd?????
Heath Stone
President 09-10
