Hello, my name is Tony Hall and I am the President
of KAMFES.
Our association would like to personally invite you to look
through our information and become members of our association.
KAMFES was formed in 1963 by a group of environmentalists
that had the best interest of trying to improve our communities
by promoting best life practices and educational improvement
for our society.
KAMFES stands for Kentucky Association of Milk, Food and
Environmental Sanitarians. Our group consists predominantly
of regulators but our goal is to improve KAMFES by trying
to bring the greatest individuals into our association.
It starts with students, we have a scholarship program which
is called the Judy L. True Scholarship. The scholarship is
given out yearly to the best -qualified student in the Environmental
Science Field at one of our Kentucky Colleges. We are also
trying to foster our relationships with academia by the promotion
of educational improvement to our members this also promotes
a working relationship between student and professor.
Industry is something that KAMFES has tried to promote in
a positive manner. KAMFES recognizes that relationships between
regulators and industry must be improved and fostered. This
has become one of the top goals of our membership the promotion
and expansion of industry to KAMFES membership.
For KAMFES to educate and improve we must see all sides
of the environmental spectrum and we need all facets of the
environmental community to become members of our association.
KAMFES has a yearly educational conference normally in February
with a wide range of topics and speakers. KAMFES is affiliated
with organizations on the national and state levels from
NEHA to IAFP. KAMFES and our affiliates give members many
opportunities for educational self- improvement.
